Kolkata Center for Creativity (KCC) has inaugurated the much-anticipated Ami Arts Festival 2023, a ten-day celebration of art supported by the CSR initiative of Emami on Friday. The festival promises to be a vibrant convergence of creativity, featuring 200 artists, 30 national award-winning artisans, art exhibitions, a film festival, workshops, and star-studded performances.

The grand opening of the festival commenced on Friday, with the unveiling of "Love and Longing," an exquisite acrylic artwork by (IAS) Rajan V S Kapur, curated by Kounteya Sinha. The inaugural session witnessed the presence of eminent personalities including director Ms. Arindam Sil, actress Pallavi Chatterjee, and KCC president Ms. Richa Aggarwal.

During the inaugural session, Rajan V S Kapur shared his artistic journey, highlighting how the pandemic inspired him to explore his passion for painting. Kounteya Sinha, the curator, emphasized the unique inspiration behind Kapur's painting, drawing from the art of Phulkari in Punjab. 

While interacting with Taaza TV President Richa Aggarwal affirmed KCC's commitment to encouraging diverse artistic performances and promoting cultural richness saying that "the festival aligns with KCC's mission to champion various forms of artistic expression and creativity."
